Dialogue - 1

 

Colleague : Hello! My name is Samantha Corbin. Nice to meey you.

 

You : Hi, It's a pleasure to meet you too. My name is Ethan Choi.

 

Colleague : Do you mind if I call you by your first name? 

 

You : No, not at all. What do you do Samatha?

 

Colleague : I work as an intern at Cortech. 

 

You : Oh, I haven't heard of that company.

 

Colleague : We specialize in providing energy solutions for factories. 

 

You : Oh, that sounds really interesting.

 

Colleague : What about you? what kind of work do you do? 

 

You : I work for Google as a coder.

 

Colleague : That sounds very interesting as well. Well, it was a pleasure meeting you.

 

You : The pleasure is all mine. Let me give you my card.


Dialogue - 2

 

Colleague : Hi, there!. Good to see you again!

 

You : Oh. hello Michail! How is it going?

 

Colleague : I can't complain. What about you? I heard you're at a new company now.

 

You : Yes, that's right. I started to work at Amazon.

 

Colleague : That sounds really exciting! What do you do there?

 

You : I work in development department as a researcher.

 

Colleague : That's really amazing, congratulations. I'm late for a meeting. I'll talk to you soon.

 

You : OK, Michail, we'll catch up later.

 


Dialogue - 3

 

 

A : Good morning. Are you here for the networking event?

 

B : Yes, that's right. My name's Jason Lee. IT's a pleasure to meey you.

 

A : Nice to meet you, too. I'm Kimberly Plant. So what do you do, Jason?

 

B : I am new to the pharmacustical industry, actually. I was anurse for 10 years, but I recently started working as a salesperson for a multinational company based in New York.

 

A : Oh, I'm from New York myself.

 

B : Really? Where do you work?

 

A : We are a small company, just a startup really. We provide reserch for some of the pharmaceutical companies in the area.

 

B : Oh, that's very interesting. You are a researcher then?

 

A : No, I work in the human resources department.

 

B : I see. Can I give you my card?

 

A : Yes, please. And here is mind. Again, it was nice meeting you.

 

B : Likewise. Talk yo you later.

Dialogue - 4

 

 

Greg : Hello, this is Greg in Human Resources. Who is calling, please?

 

Linda : Hi, Greg, this is Linda from the Management team. Were you able to create that Zoom account?

 

Greg : Oh, hi, Linda. Yes, I activated it yesterday.

 

Linda : Great. Thank you. Did you have a chance to use it and get familiar with the tools in the program?

 

Greg : Yes, I checked it out a little bit, and I think it is fairly easy to use.

 

Linda : Wonderful. Actually, we need to schedule a call for next week with our HQ in San Diego. I would like to do it via Zoom if possible.

 

Greg : OK. Sure. I can do that. Can you send me a list of contacts who will participate in the call via email? I need to check the availability of the participants in advance. 

 

Linda : No problem. I can send that to you after lunch.

 

Greg : Perfect! After I have confirmed everyone's availability, I will create a link and share it on the company message board.
