Doctor: 어서 오세요. 어디가 편찮으십니까?
Doctor: Please come in. What seems to be the trouble(problem)?
 
Patient: 복부입니다. 제 생각엔 아마도 제가 어제 저녁 만찬에서 너무 많이 먹은 것 같습니다.
Patient: It’s my stomach. I think probably I had too much at supper yesterday evening.

eat은 먹는 행위를 강조하는 표현이라 식사했다는 표현은 주로 ‘had’를 사용 Supper 간단한 가족 파티 느낌.

Doctor: 어제 저녁 만찬에서 무엇을 드셨는지 말씀해주시겠어요?
Doctor: Can you tell me what you had for supper yesterday evening?

간접 의문문이므로 Can you tell me 뒤에는 S+V 구조로 와야 함

Patient: 해산물하고 오리 구이요. 오, 엄청 많았는데 정확히 이름을 말하진 못하겠어요.
Patient: Seafood and roast duck. Oh, a great variety of things, I can’t name them exactly.
 
Doctor: 구토를 하셨나요?
Doctor: Have you vomited?
** 계속 아파서 온 상황일 때는 현재완료로 표현, 지금까지 아프다는 느낌으로..
 
Patient: 네, 지난밤 세 번 구토했고 여러 번 화장실에 갔었습니다.
Patient: Yes, I have vomited three times and made several trips to the bathroom last night.
 
Doctor: 그렇군요. 지금 대변 검사를 받아야겠습니다. 제가 처방전을 써드릴 테니까 이걸 검사실로 가져가세요. 잠깐 기다리시고 검사지를 받은 다음에 다시 그걸 저한테 가지고 오세요.
Doctor: I see. Now you have to get your stools tested. I will write out a slip and you can take it to the laboratory. Wait for a while and pick up the report and then bring it back to me

”검사를 받다”는 take보다는 get을 사용. Slip은 얇은 종이를 의미하는데, Pink slip은 해고 통지서

 
Patient: 알겠습니다, 선생님. 나중에 뵙겠습니다.
Patient: Alright, doctor. See you later
 
Doctor: 나중에 뵙겠습니다.
Doctor: See you soon.
 
Patient: 여기 제 검사결과입니다, 선생님.
Patient: Here’s my report, doctor.
 
Doctor: 앉으세요, 제가 살펴보겠습니다. 심각한 건 아니군요, 기름진 음식을 너무 많이 드신 것 같아요. 상태가 호전될 수 있도록 제가 처방전을 써드리겠습니다. 앞으로 며칠 동안은 기름진 음식은 피하라고 권유하겠습니다.
Doctor: Take your seat, and let me have a look. It’s nothing serious, only indigestion due to too much oily food. I will prescribe you some medicine to make you feel better. I (do) advise you to avoid oily food for the next few days

take a look은 대략적으로 살펴보는 느낌이고, have a look은 꼼꼼하게 살펴보는 느낌

Patient: 조언을 따르겠습니다. 감사합니다.
Patient: I’ll follow your advice. Thanks a lot.
